Community Advisory Council (CAC) blev oprettet i marts 2022 af Office of the Independent Consent Decree Monitor for City of Aurora for at give samfundsinput og vejledning vedrørende reformbestræbelser i byen Aurora under samtykkedekretet. Jeanette Rodriguez (Chair)
Jeanette Rodriguez immigrated to America over 30 years ago from South America and has been an Aurora resident since 2003. She is a former educator at Jefferson County Schools, a real estate agent, an auto repair shop owner, a sheriff’s deputy, and a pastor. She is a wife and mother of two grown children. Over the last two decades, she has served her community in several ministerial and volunteer capacities including, among others, as co-chair of the Aurora Immigrant and Refugee Commission, and member of the Community Policing Advisory team.

Cassandra La'Chae Webster (Vice-Chair)
My name is Cassandra Webster and though I have held a few titles throughout my career and life, I cherish my title of Nana to my Magnificent Seven grandchildren the most. They are my motivation to try to make this world a little better than when I came into it. This is why I want to use my skills in Learning and Development, project management, content creation and human relations to help the CAC create the channels needed for residents to get their unfiltered experiences to the Consent Decree Monitor.

Melissa Berglund
Melissa Berglund has been a resident of Aurora since 1979. She has twenty years of local, state and national child welfare experience in a variety of roles from residential treatment, direct practice, to training, coaching and prevention. She has spent the past ten years building community change in child welfare including collaboration with early childhood and behavioral health programs.
Ivania Maricela Romero Campos
A cosmetologist for 25 years of Experience in the barber industry and beauty her business are 503 barber shop and salon and G&M Ortega’s construction company and have her brand Ivania lashes. Ivania has taken the role of being an actress this 2024 and helping the community in Aurora and El Salvador.
Her goal is to take her businesses to a high level and be a source of work for many people, her aspirations are to be a link between the Community and the government in this way to help many people so that they can achieve their dreams with peace, tranquility and security. Making our city a better place.
Was Overcoming cancer with the help of God, bringing the Salvadoran consulate to Aurora and have been part of that project. Also being an entrepreneur Salvadoran American woman.
William F Gondrez
William Gondrez has been a resident of Aurora since 1992. He served over 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. He currently serves as a board member for the city's Citizen's Water Advisory Committee. In addition, through the Spirit of Aurora he assists the city's finance department with 501(C)(3) grants and projects. Mr. Gondrez is the President of the oldest community organization in this city, Northwest Aurora Neighborhood Organization and is currently employed with the Aurora Public Schools as an Early Childhood educator.
Michael Andre Hancock
Michael Hancock is a retired high-tech technology and business executive. He is now dedicated to supporting a variety of community efforts in Aurora, Colorado. Michael's extensive business and technology experience, combined with his passion for giving back, drive his commitment to making a positive impact locally.
Reid Hettich
Reid Hettich has been an Aurora resident since 1985. He has been the Pastor of two congregations in Aurora and currently serves as Lead Pastor of Mosaic Church of Aurora, a multicultural church in North Aurora. He has been the Chair of the Aurora Community of Faith, the Aurora Strong Resilience Center, Aurora Community Connections and the Aurora Economic Opportunity Center. Currently, he is the Chair of Aurora's Key Community Response Team, a member of the Community Policing Advisory Team, and sits on other nonprofit boards. He is a husband, father, grandfather, and a Broncos fan.
Becky L. Hogan
Becky Hogan has been an Aurora resident and an active community volunteer for 19 years. She was a small business owner in Aurora with a background in economic development and land development consulting. She is currently serving as a Second Vice Chair of the Aurora Planning Commission.
Gianina Horton
Gianina Horton has been a resident of Aurora for a year. She has worked in civilian oversight of law enforcement for several years. Currently, she serves as the Executive Director of a nonprofit called the Denver Justice Project, which works with historically marginalized communities to address systemic racism by transforming law enforcement and the structure of the criminal justice system through intersectional movement building, direct action, advocacy, and collaborative education.
Dr. Anne Keke
Dr. Anne Keke is a Native of Cote d’Ivoire, now a U.S. Citizen living in Aurora, Colorado since 2001 with her family.
She has expertise in organizational leadership in conjunction with risk and crisis management, conflict resolution and program management. Dr. Keke has worked with the District Attorney's Office in the 18th Judicial District in Littleton, Colorado, and the Arapahoe County Juvenile Probation Department. Dr. Keke presently holds the position of instructor of Career Readiness with the Colorado Early Colleges working as the Restorative Justice Coordinator. Dr. Keke is an active member of the African Leadership Group (ALG, USA), where she dedicates her time speaking about the importance of equal education for all in Colorado.
Muemang Ling
Muemang Ling is a refugee from Burma and has been a resident of Aurora for 16 years. She is studying Sociology, Political Science, and Ethnic Studies at Colorado State University. Currently, she serves as a School Program Navigator at Lutheran Family Services, supporting refugee youths within the education system and throughout the resettlement process. Previously, Muemang worked at the Asian Pacific American Cultural Center and also served as a Senator for The Associated Students of Colorado State University, representing and advocating for API and Desi Americans, as well as Southwest Asian and North African students.

Thomas Mayes
Thomas Mayes is a Colorado native and has been a resident of Aurora for 38 years. He is a Vietnam veteran with 23 years of government service and served 32 years as a senior pastor in Aurora. He has been serving the Aurora community since 1990.
Julie A Ressalam
Julie Ressalam is a researcher and doctoral student at the Colorado School of Public Health. She has lived in Aurora for seven years and previously served on the Immigrant and Refugee Commission for the City of Aurora from December 2017 to January 2022 where she served as Chair (2019) and Vice Chair (2020-2022) consecutively. Through this role, she developed and finalized the Aurora Immigrant Integration Plan as well as led monthly meetings interfacing with community members and organizational leaders regarding important policy issues such as voting access, healthcare utilization, and obtaining resources for families in need. Additionally she established partnerships with organizations serving immigrant and refugee populations. As a health services research doctoral candidate, she strives to provide evidence and context to health policymaking in an effort to transform the healthcare sector. In her current role, she works in the Systems for Action Program at the Colorado School of Public Health to coordinate and integrate medical, social, and public health systems in ways that improve health and health equity and ultimately dismantle structural racism.
Ray Washington
I'm a Denver CO native, coach, and teacher, and have worked with multiple organizations to provide opportunities to and for the youth. I strive to be an ear as well as a voice for the youth of the Colorado community.
Amy Wiles
Amy Wiles has been a resident of Aurora for 22 years. She currently serves as the Director of Strategy and Business Development for United HealthCare where she works on nationwide change management programs, strategic and complex project roll out while maintaining the goal of representing the voice of the customers. She is a mother to two sons and volunteers at a variety of local events and causes, including the Special Olympics.

COMMUNITY ADVISORY COUNCIL DOCUMENTS
INTERESTED IN BECOMING A COMMUNITY ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBER?
The Independent Monitor for the City of Aurora is seeking individuals who will work collaboratively with the Monitor and other CAC members to ensure that the community's voice is effectively represented. The process is open to potential new members as well as existing members, and we will be expanding the number of seats necessary in order to accommodate committed new members.
The role of the CAC is pivotal, serving as a key liaison between the Aurora community and the Monitor, and playing an essential role in ensuring that the reforms to public safety are palpable and meaningful on the streets of Aurora..
We place high value on collaboration and diverse viewpoints within the CAC. Your participation would involve regular engagement with the Monitor in CAC meetings, direct communications with community leaders, and proactive involvement in shaping our public safety oversight and would be crucial in driving the continued success of Aurora’s public safety reforms. If you are prepared to make a significant impact and help facilitate the ongoing improvements in Aurora, we encourage you to apply.
